WARRENSBURG, MO – The University of Central Missouri annually conducts the Homecoming
Royalty competition to select a King and Queen. Nine King candidates and nine Queen
candidates are vying for Homecoming Royalty this weekend, with top contestants to
be introduced during half-time of Mules football game Saturday, Oct. 23. Homecoming
Royalty also participates in the parade that begins at 9 a.m. the same day.
Each organization has an opportunity to have a candidate run for homecoming. Royalty
candidates go through an interview process, put together an educational video and
receive student votes.
As shown in the photo above, the candidates, the organization they represent, year
at UCM, and their hometowns, are: Mackenzie Scott - Alpha Gamma Delta, senior, Camdenton,
Missouri; Ariana Badua - Winter Guard, j unior, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; Madi Davis -
Sigma Kappa, junior, St. Peters, Missouri; Caitlin O'Hanlon - Alpha Sigma Alpha, senior,
Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
Candidates on the second row are Jennifer Brink - Delta Zeta, junior, Overland Park,
Kansas; Mallory Martinez - Alpha Omicron Pi, Junior, Gardner, Kansas; Olivia Gibbs
- Gamma Phi Beta, senior, St. Charles, Missouri; Sydney Vaught - Sigma Sigma Sigma,
junior, Sweet Springs, Missouri; Riley Turner - Alpha Phi, senior, O'Fallon, Missouri.
On the third row, the candidates are Daniel Johnson - Theta Chi, senior, Fenton,
Missouri; Jordan Herzing - Delta Chi, Senior, Freeburg, Missouri; Aaron Shumaker -
Sigma Phi Epsilon, senior, Beatrice, Nebraska.
Standing in back are candidates Mason McClain - Alpha Tau Omega, senior, Eureka, Missouri;
Jacob Perez - Tau Kappa Epsilon, senior, Smithville, Missouri; Alex Chase - Sigma
Pi, Junior, Kearney, Missouri; Tad Bradshaw - Alpha Kappa Lambda, junior, Kansas City,
Missouri; Hunter Dieffenbach - Farmhouse, junior, Kansas City, Missouri; and Charlie
