The University of Central Missouri is partnering with Black Rocket online learning
company to offer online computer science summer camps for children from age 8 to 14. One-week sessions are available June 6 through Aug.
26 with classes offered during either the morning or afternoon. Each class lasts two
hours and 30 minutes.
The computer science summer camps include topics such as video game design and animation,
programming, coding and YouTube content creation. Courses offered during 2022 include
Minecraft Redstone Engineers, Roblox Makers, YouTube Content Creators, Video Game
Animation, Make Your First Video Game, 3D Game Design with Unity, YouTube FX Masters,
JavaScript Developer Jam, Battle Royale: Make Your First Fortnite Style Video Game,
Code Breakers, Python Programmers, Code Your Own Adventure-Interactive Storytelling
and Inventor’s League - Prototyping for the Future.
The online offerings are designed to educate young people in an engaging and safe
environment through interactive activities with live online teachers.
