UCM Lee’s Summit Named Finalist for LS Chamber of Commerce's 'Simply the Best' Award

UCM Lee’s Summit was recognized as one of three finalists in the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce Simply the Best Awards program. Local businesses and organizations were honored at the Chamber’s March 18 monthly membership luncheon with UCM Lee’s Summit named a finalist in the category of 1 to 20 employees.

 

The Chamber’s prestigious awards program includes a comprehensive written application with finalists participating in site visits by the Chamber’s selection team later this spring. The winner in each category will be announced at the Chamber’s June membership luncheon.

 

The application focused on company culture, community service and impact, staff engagement and support, future plans and involvement in the Chamber of Commerce.

 

During the March luncheon, UCM staff members Rick Smetana, Clarinda Dir, Kenda Glidewell and Laura Emery highlighted the university at a UCM display.
