WARRENSBURG, MO – One of the best gifts anyone can offer to others is their own blood.
The University of Central Missouri is providing an opportunity to help save more lives
by hosting the Together Royal Blood Drive 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in
the ballroom of the Elliott Student Union.
Consistent with the event theme, individuals who donate blood will receive a free
limited edition Royals t-shirt to help show their team spirit, and to celebrate their
contribution to the Community Blood Center in Kansas City. They will also have the opportunity to enter their name in a drawing
for a bowling/pizza party for up to six individuals at the UCM Bowling Center in the
Elliott Student Union.
The Community Blood Center supports 60 hospitals in 70 Missouri and Kansas counties,
and plasma is always needed. UCM’s Volunteer Services office is helping to coordinate
the blood drive, which is open to students, faculty, staff and community members.
Appointments are preferred, and can be booked in advance at savealifenow.org/group. Enter Group Code: SZ. Individuals who have questions about medical eligibility should
