WARRENSBURG, MO – The Warrensburg community will welcome thousands of visitors Friday
and Saturday, Dec. 9-10 as the University of Central Missouri hosts 2022 Fall Commencement
exercises in the Multipurpose Building. The celebration will bring families, friends
and students together for three ceremonies honoring more than 1,500 individuals who
have met undergraduate and graduate degree requirements and are eligible to participate.
Anyone who cannot attend but would like to view the ceremonies can do so virtually
by clicking on the UCM Commencement Livestream page.
UCM President Roger Best will confer degrees in each ceremony. In addition to his
comments, there will be remarks at each graduation event by a member of the Board
of Governors, an academic college dean, and a graduating student. UCM music faculty
and students will engage in the weekend festivities as participants in the Brass Ensemble,
Wind Ensemble, and UCM Concert Choir.
Commencement exercises begin with the graduate ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9.
Candidates for master’s degrees in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
(CAHSS); Harmon College of Business and Professional Studies (HCBPS); College of Education
(COE); and the College of Health, Science and Technology (CHST) will be honored.
Two undergraduate ceremonies are planned on Saturday, Dec. 10. They begin at 10 a.m.
by recognizing candidates for baccalaureate degrees from COE and CHST. Degrees will
be conferred at 2 p.m. upon students who completed degree programs in HCBPS, CAHSS,
General Studies and Crisis and Disaster management programs.
Other ceremonies planned during commencement weekend include the Army ROTC Commissioning
ceremony and reception at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Alumni Memorial Chapel and the Nursing
Recognition Ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hendricks Hall.
