"Volunteering on the Appalachian Trail was amazing. Since being in college, I haven't had the opportunity to feel like part of a team like I did in high school and playing sports. Being able to work together and share sweat, laughs, and even a little blood (blisters) finally began to fill that void that was missing. The friends I made on the trip almost a year ago, have remained friends today, and I would make this journey and that crazy, daily mountain hike all over again."

- Kaitlyn Lowe, 2016 Appalachian Trail participant

Case Of Honor

The Office of Military and Veteran Services is seeking military service members and veterans consisting of UCM faculty, staff, students and alumni to be featured in our Military and Veteran Services Case of Honor outside of the Military and Veterans Success Center, Elliott Union 117.

The Case of Honor provides an opportunity for the campus community to learn about the life of a service member or veteran and the life experiences gained from active duty to civilian life. Many service members and veterans have traveled the world and lived experiences most of us never will have the opportunity to experience. The Case of Honor provides an eye opening experience as to the demands, opportunities and rewards of military service as well as honors the service member and veteran for their service.
