Catapult

Work Toward Undergraduate or Graduate Credit

UCM offers undergraduate and graduate credit for educators completing Catapult requirements. You can earn two credit hours for every Catapult Masterclass that you complete. Catapult course credit is only $142.50/credit hour!

What is Catapult?

Catapult is an online learning network of professional development masterclasses for Career & Technical Education. For additional information please visit the Catapult Masterclass website at www.CatapultMasterclass.com.

Each Catapult course is endorsed by the University of Central Missouri (UCM), a public, regionally accredited university. You have the opportunity to earn college credit for your completed Catapult courses.

Whether you are looking for engaging professional development or a more convenient way to obtain continuing education credits and advance your career, Catapult Masterclass courses are designed for you. There are currently six courses available:

  • Student Motivation and Marketing
  • Work-Based Learning
  • Instructional Excellence
  • Career Readiness
  • Employer Partnership
  • Education Transformation

You may use your official transcript from UCM to meet your continuing education requirements and/or apply for a degree program. Each Catapult course can earn you 2 semester Credit Hours at UCM.

What is Required for Catapult Credit?

UCM will recognize completion of Catapult courses through the submission of the Catapult workbook and, if applicable, a graduate paper for each Catapult course taken.

Each Catapult course can earn you two semester credit hours at UCM at the undergraduate level.

For graduate credit, we require a graduate-level term paper to be written and submitted to earn graduate university credit in addition to the course workbook. A rubric for that paper and a course syllabus are available for download below.

All required items must be received no later than the close of business on the Friday before finals week to review items before grade submission deadlines. Required items received after that time can be carried over to the following semester.

Please do not send payment with your materials. Instructions for payment methods will be provided once you are enrolled.

How Do I Apply for Catapult Course Credit?

If you want to seek course credit for your Catapult training, please start by completing one of our Admissions Applications.

Undergraduate Credit Students

If you are new to UCM and wish to take Catapult courses as non-degree seeking (you can always apply your earned Catapult course credit to a degree later), select "Other Applicant Types" and then select the "Non-Degree Seeking" Apply button to proceed. You can select Catapult per application, so please contact us for personal assistance if you wish to enroll in more than one Catapult course at the same time. There are no application fees for non-degree seeking students.

Graduate Credit Students

If you are new to UCM and wish to take Catapult courses as non-degree seeking (you can always apply your earned Catapult course credit to a degree later), select "Non-Degree Seeking" and then select the "Special Credit Application" to proceed. The application may limit you to selecting only one Catapult course per application, so please contact us for personal assistance if you wish to enroll in more than one Catapult course at the same time. There are no application fees and transcripts are not required for non-degree seeking students.
