UCM maintains various types of parking lots to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. These include faculty and staff, student, reserved, handicapped, or visitor lots. All university parking lots are clearly marked by entry signs which list the type of lot and any special restrictions which might apply to the lot.
Vehicles should be parked directly in front of concrete parking bumpers or within designated white parking lines. No parking zones are designated by yellow paint and/or no parking signs. Parking at corners or in driveways is strictly prohibited. Carefully read each parking lot entry sign and park only in designated spaces. Failure to do so can constitute a parking violation.
Permits are required for all faculty and staff, student, M, reserved, or handicapped parking lots. Permits are valid only when properly attached to the vehicle. Holders of permits can park only in those lots in which the designation on the parking lot sign corresponds with the type of permit issued to them. Information regarding availability of parking spaces can be obtained from Parking Services.
Purchasing a permit does not guarantee the permit holder a parking space in their respective lot. It is a permit to park in a designated parking lot when space is available.
Falsifying information to obtain a parking permit will result in revocation of parking privileges on UCM property for a period of one year.
Faculty/Staff lots are strictly for use by UCM faculty and staff. These lots are reserved Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. for individuals who hold a valid Faculty/Staff permit. Only one permit may be purchased per faculty or staff member.
The current fee for Faculty/Staff permits may be paid through payroll deduction. Faculty and staff members who purchase a permit are issued a transferable permit which may be transferred to any vehicle they wish. The individual who purchases the permit, however, will be responsible for all parking violations by any vehicles bearing the permit.
Unauthorized persons who park in faculty and staff lots Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. will have their vehicles ticketed and/or towed. These lots are available for general university use at no charge during non-reserved times.
Reserved lots are those parking lots, or spaces within parking lots, which are designated as reserved. Each parking space in a reserved lot is assigned to one individual by Parking Services.
Reserved lots are restricted 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except the reserved section of Lot 12 which is reserved Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Reserved lots and spaces are clearly marked by parking lot entry signs or individual parking space signs. Unauthorized persons who park in reserved areas will have their vehicles ticketed and/or towed.
The current fee for reserved parking can be paid through a payroll deduction.
Student lots are strictly for use by residence hall students, commuter students, and family housing occupants. These lots are reserved Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. for individuals who hold a valid Student permit.
Students who purchase a Student permit are issued a transferable permit which may be transferred to any vehicle they wish. The individual who purchases the permit, however, will be responsible for all parking violations by any vehicles bearing the permit.
Students may also park in M lots with a valid Student permit displayed in their vehicle.
Those students who commute to campus may choose one of the following options to meet their needs:
Unauthorized persons who park in M lots Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. will have their vehicles ticketed and/or towed. These lots are available for general university use at no charge during non-reserved times except for M-Lot 33 (north and west side of the Multipurpose Building). Overnight parking is not permitted in M-Lot 33 from midnight to 6:00 AM seven days a week.
