What you will study
UCM’s Advertising minor will help you understand the business and creative aspects
of the field, including specific advertising strategies and media. Our cross-disciplinary
Advertising minor incorporates marketing, public relations and digital technology
classes for comprehensive instruction. Courses you may take include:
- Principles of Advertising
- Integrated Marketing Communication
- Seminar in Brand Management
- Public Relations Management and Industry Practices
You’ll have the direct support of our faculty, who are marketing, public relations
and strategic communication experts. They hold advanced degrees in their respective
fields as well as a wealth of professional experience. With their guidance in selecting
the right courses, you can complete your Advertising minor in as few as two semesters.
Excellence in Advertising
- UCM's Advertising minor program curriculum is rich in accreditation, an indicator
of our highest standards of excellence in education. Our Public Relations and Strategic
Communication program is one of only 42 in the world to be certified by the Public Relations Society of America, and our
Marketing program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business (AACSB) — a designation held by fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide.
- A Best Value College for Marketing/Marketing Management, General (College Factual, 2022)
