The university is continuing to monitor the weather through the National Weather Service, and we will continue to keep you updated if there are changes that may affect future university operations. We encourage our UCM community to exercise caution given the predicted weather conditions and implement necessary safeguards.

We encourage you to monitor UCM’s website, ucmo.edu/closing, as well as the TextCaster text message service, UCM social media, your UCM email account and traditional media for information about campus closings or updates that impact UCM. If you do not have TextCaster, we encourage you to sign up at ucmo.edu/textcaster.

The safety of our employees and students continues to be a top priority at UCM. When there are hazardous conditions, the university expects supervisors and faculty to be flexible with staff and students who are unable to travel to campus as scheduled or who may have to leave the university earlier than expected because of poor weather conditions near their homes. Supervisors and professors should also consider child care issues as some employees and students must make adjustments due to public schools closing or delaying their opening.

Employees should notify their supervisors and students should notify their professors if inclement weather prevents them from coming to campus as scheduled or if child care is an issue. You can access the campus directory from the university website’s homepage.
