Whether you are an administrator in a rural school district or a faculty sponsor for a high school or middle school student organization that guides students interested in becoming teachers, the UCM College of Education hosts many events that may be of interest to you. Registration is always free and feedback is consistently positive from students and educators in dozens of districts.
In the Fall we host Future Teacher Academy (FTA) to bring together high school and middle school students from multiple districts to gain insight and knowledge on the steps it takes to become a teacher. This one-day event features informative sessions designed and facilitated by the University of Central Missouri (UCM) faculty. Students stay together with their school group while they engage in challenges and round table discussions. The day finishes with a keynote speaker. This event is typically held in October; registration opens in August.

The day's agenda typically consists of 2-3 breakout sessions on a wide variety of topics, as well as a keynote speaker. This event is typically held in February; registration opens in December.
