The University of Central Missouri administers three major national surveys to its students as part of CQIP (Central’s Quality Improvement Program) on an annual basis. The surveys are the: National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE); Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP); and Your First College Year (YFCY). Results from these surveys are reviewed annually by the university’s Strategic Planning and Resource Council, Student Life and the Faculty Senate University Assessment Council.
The Noel-Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI) was given in 2007 to guage the extent to which UCM meets or exceeds the expectation of students. A Senior Exit Survey (SES) was conducted in 2008 and was designed to assess graduating seniors' satisfaction with their educational experience,learning outcomes, major field of study, faculty, services, and facilities at the University of Central Missouri. UCM faculty participated in the 2007-08 Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) national longitudinal study of the American higher education system.
