Mules Baseball Claims 17th Regional Crown with 7-4 Win over Arkansas-Monticello
The ninth-ranked Mules captured the 2016 Central Region championship with a 7-4 win over Arkansas-Monticello on Monday afternoon at Joe Faber Field. It is the 17th regional crown in program history and the Mules advance to next week's NCAA-II World Series in Cary, North Carolina for the first time since 2011.

The celebration gives people an opportunity to see the professional quality golf facilities, along with Traditions Restaurant and the Audrey J. Walton Clubhouse at Pertle Springs, which are part of Mules National.

Nellie Maple, a senior theatre performance major at the University of Central Missouri, and her acting partner, Daniel Parman, a graduate student in theatre, claimed top prize at the prestigious Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Irene Ryan National Acting Scholarship Auditions. The auditions were held at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., on April 15.

The Honorable Sue Dodson, associate circuit judge, Judicial Circuit 17, conducted the swearing in activities at the beginning of the board’s April plenary session.

The University of Central Missouri invites members of the local community and all others who are interested to a pre-Memorial Day ceremony in honor of individuals who gave their lives in service to the United States. The ceremony begins at noon Wednesday, May 25, on the east side lawn of the Alumni Memorial Chapel, and will be moved inside the chapel if inclement weather occurs.
