The University of Central Missouri has joined the Greater Kansas City MetroLab Partnership and launched a Gigabit Lab to help create gigabit applications in education, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and the healthcare industry.
In a weekend that brought thousands of people to the University of Central Missouri, 11 students who helped trailblaze a new nationally recognized pathway to higher education were part of the record-breaking 2016 Spring Commencement Exercises.
Along with a record number of graduates, the University of Central Missouri’s Spring 2016 Commencement will include the first students from The Missouri Innovation Campus to receive UCM diplomas when ceremonies take place the weekend of May 6-7 in the Multipurpose Building.
With strong participation from the University of Central Missouri, the Lee’s Summit community celebrated the construction kick-off of a new facility designed to house nationally recognized programs that are reshaping the way students experience education. At a March 10 groundbreaking ceremony, representatives from the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District and UCM launched construction of a new Summit Technology Academy / Missouri Innovation Campus.
