Horine Honored with MAMA Friend of Aviation Award
John Horine, professor emeritus of aviation at the University of Central Missouri, recently received the 2017 Friend of Aviation Award from the Missouri Airport Managers Association at the group’s spring conference.

John Zey, Warrensburg, professor of safety sciences in the School of Environmental, Physical and Applied Sciences at the University of Central Missouri, has been named an AIHA Fellow by the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
May 05, 2017Brig. Gen. Tibbets Presents Pre-Memorial Day Address May 24
Brig. Gen. Paul W. Tibbets IV, commander of the 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman Air Force Base, will present the keynote address at the annual Pre-Memorial Day Ceremony at the University of Central Missouri. The event takes place at noon Wednesday, May 24, on the lawn near the Alumni Memorial Chapel, and is free and open to everyone. In case of rain the festivities will be moved inside the chapel.
