Event Fosters Understanding of Islam, Opportunity to Meet Muslim Students
An event designed to help foster better understanding, the University of Central Missouri will host the student-led program, “Discover Islam and Muslims,” from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in Elliott Student Union, Room 240.

The University of Central Missouri Department of Aviation recently received a gift of a CFM International CFM36 jet engine from Southwest Airlines. The engine, removed from service on Southwest’s fleet of Boeing 737 airliners, will become a valuable tool in hands-on instruction for students in UCM’s aviation maintenance program, as well as all other aspects of UCM aviation program.
