Missouri Blue Scholarship Benefits CMPA Cadets Pursuing Law Enforcement Careers
WARRENSBURG, MO – With four cadets receiving initial awards, the Central Missouri Police Academy (CMPA) at the University of Central Missouri is already experiencing the positive impact of Missouri Gov. Mike Parson’s “Missouri Blue Scholarship” on individuals who want to serve their communities.

UCM Celebrates 2022 Fall Commencement Dec. 9-10, Live Streaming Available
The Warrensburg community will welcome thousands of visitors Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10 as the University of Central Missouri hosts 2022 Fall Commencement exercises in the Multipurpose Building. The celebration will bring families, friends and students together for three ceremonies honoring more than 1,500 individuals who have met undergraduate and graduate degree requirements and are eligible to participate. Individuals who cannot attend but would like to view the ceremonies can do so virtually by clicking on the UCM Commencement Livestream page.

UCM Faculty Member Awarded Grant from U.S. Department of Labor to Pursue Workplace Infectious Disease Control
Miaozong Wu, Ph.D., CSP, ARM, program coordinator of the Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management, and an associate professor at the University of Central Missouri, was recently awarded an $85,000 grant from the United States Department of Labor (DOL). Made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, this grant funds one of 14 projects from different organizations nationwide that were selected by the DOL and funded through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Susan Harwood Training Grant program.
