Meet Dr. Chris Azevedo
Expert in economics
Dr. Azevedo earned his Ph.D. in economics from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
He teaches classes on macroeconomics, microeconomics, natural resource economics and
international economics. Students benefit from his engaging teaching style and years
of research on nonmarket valuation, sports economics and the determinants of grit.
Meet Dr. Shannon McCarthy
Expert in marketing
Dr. McCarthy earned her Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas. She came to UCM in
2016 and primarily teaches courses in Sports Marketing, Marketing Research and Marketing
Management. Dr. McCarthy helps students improve their networks and career opportunities
as a faculty advisor for Collegiate DECA.
