Mike Carter established an unparalleled 50 year record of outstanding service to the
University of Central Missouri as a teacher, mentor and role-model. A longstanding
and faithful supporter of the United States of America’s military services, he had
a noteworthy record of service in the University’s and Warrensburg community's efforts
to support and assist Whiteman AFB and its personnel. Amongst many service groups,
Mike served on the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, the Warrensburg-Whiteman Military
Affairs Committee, The Whiteman Base Community Council and the Whiteman Base Command

efforts enhanced the relationship between UCM, his community and Whiteman AFB immeasurably.
The Mike Carter Award is available through the UCM Alumni Foundation for current and
