UCM’s main campus is located in the center of the United States of America in Warrensburg, Missouri. “The ‘Burg,” as it’s known locally, is a helpful, welcoming, safe and kind community. It’s also an extremely affordable place to live. Groceries, utilities, rent and other necessities are considerably less expensive in the ‘Burg compared to either coast and most large cities.
A true “college town,” Warrensburg’s businesses and more than 19,000 residents welcome UCM students each year to their home-away-from-home. Downtown Warrensburg’s shops, restaurants and entertainment are a short six-block walk from campus. The natural beauty of Pertle Springs, Lion’s Lake and Mules National Golf Course is 1.5 miles away. And everything else Warrensburg has to offer is easily accessible by car.
Less than an hour’s drive away is Kansas City, a bustling metropolitan area filled with world-class arts, entertainment and experiences. Lee’s Summit is one of the suburban communities around Kansas City and home to UCM’s Missouri Innovation Campus. It’s here that many of UCM’s computer science, engineering, nursing and education programs hold classes. A public commuter train system and the university-run shuttle bus service connect the two campuses.
